Syx Graphics personalises over 10 million cards each year and has the capacity to personalise over 15 million printed A4 sheets per year. Syx Graphics can handle complex fulfilment and direct mail campaigns containing many different elements.
The thermal printing process results in a flat printed finish on the card. Text, bar codes and small graphics can be printed on to the card surface. A number of standard colours are available, for special projects we can even supply you with specifically formulated colours to match your card design.
The embossing process punches characters through the back of the card, which results in a raised finish on the front. Alphanumerical characters can be embossed on to a card, and the raised characters can then be tipped in a number of colours including black, silver or gold.
The digital printing process makes it possible to print in small quantities. The printing is scratch resistant and protected against UV radiation through a transparent top layer. It is only possible in full-color printing.
Magstripe and Chip Encoding
The magnetic stripe on the back of the card can be encoded according to ISO standards, which can be read by a suitable card reader. Syx Graphics can encode this information on to the card, at high speed, during the personalisation processes.
Special scratch-off foils can be used to protect sensitive data on your cards. Whether these are activation codes, PIN or PUK codes, we offer the right technology to protect the data against fraudulent misuse. The foils can be applied using TTR or hotstamp technology, and can even have holographic designs.
DOD stands for drop on demand. The black ink is put on the map by the inkjet technology and is protected by a UV coating which ensures that the extra barcode is protected from scratches.
Depending on your needs, the cards can also be individually wrapped in plastic foil, individually or in kit form.
This printing process is similar to thermal printing. It is used for personalization in large quantities, because this is faster than thermal printing and finishing because a lower finishing resolution is accepted (eg cards with a short lifespan).

Matching and attaching
All personalized cards can be tuned and mounted on a corresponding carrier. This can be a letter, mailing, folder, application, etc.
Digital offset printed cards
Variable data such as a bar code, text or photo can be digitally printed onto white core material before lamination. After lamination, the variable data is protected by a layer of plastic. This results in the personalisation element being much more durable.
